Another random idea for that Pokemon game thing I was kicking around.
There’s no “evil team” or anything like Team Rocket or what have you, but there are three “Guilds” in the region. None of them are planning anything evil, they’re just a group of people who have different interests in types of Pokemon and they even respect each other with friendly competition. You’ll run into them every so often, and you can even join up with one!
Joining up with one of the guilds nets you special rewards for using the types of Pokemon that the guild favors, like maybe some kind of point system to get special moves and items only offered by the guild. Once you’re a part of a guild, though, you’re set. You can’t go back.
Maybe the guilds all meet up in a location for special events? I dunno.
It’s less a battle with other people and more a battle with me. Like, you can tell me it’s fine all you want but DEEP DOWN INSIDE I KNOW IT’S NOT AND YOU’RE JUST BEING NICE AND YOU’RE REALLY REALLY ANNOYED AND YOU HATE ME AND EVERYTHING I’M DRAWING IS HORRIBLE BUT YOU WON’T SAY IT WHY WON’T YOU JUST SAY IT’S BAD JUST SAY IT
It’s a crapshoot, sorry. Every time I take commissions I end up getting super stressed. Sometimes I’ll do it, sometimes I’ll fail halfway through. It’s hard for me to have a set schedule of stuff like that.

Thanks. While I can’t do anything about being gifted a killing machine, I figured I wouldn’t even have a Team Rocket expy in the game. It’d be more about the world. Exploring the areas, catching Pokemon, adventuring with your new pal, defeating gyms because you WANT to.
I don’t really play Pokemon for the deep engaging stories. Why not magnify the parts that make the series great? I dunno. I can’t really speak for anyone else but myself, though.
