Sure. I never mind if anyone wants to use my characters for art or stories as long as proper credit is given.

go figure

I know, I knowwwwww. I just can’t stop myself from being a gigantic spergy shitbag and uuuughhhhhhh

ouch oof ow my pride
1) I don’t think she’d go power hungry. At least if she started to show signs, there’s PLENTY of people in the world to get her back into line before she causes any real trouble.
The reason she could do what she did in EQG is because of how high school works. Sunset’s big fault is that she’s hungry for praise. She wants to be recognized. So when she got popular, it went to her head and she started letting it change her. That, coupled with the resentment she had for Celestia for seemingly underestimating her and withholding information and yeah, you have her as a rebellious teenager.
In DBZ, there’s a good number of people who would be able to give her context to her power and temper it with kindness. Literally any of the masters of the series like Roshi, Kami, King Kai, or anyone else, really. Plus with the constant world-ending threats, she wouldn’t have much time to spend on pouting and holding a grudge.
2) As far as relationships go with the rest of the DB cast, she’d DEFINITELY get on great with Bulma. It’s why I wanted to pair them up from the start. They’re both curious and want to know how things work and Sunset would be super interested in technology and how Bulma can shove tons of things into capsules.
She’d see Yamcha as an awkward guy with fake bravado, though she’d probably just roll her eyes at it and let Bulma and Yamcha have their fun.
Piccolo would scare the fuck out of her, but after he mellows out, she’d probably just think that he’s uptight and tries too hard to be stoic. I doubt she’d want to spend much time with him. Though she could probably relate to being a loner from another world.
She’d think Gohan is a good kid. Cute and tries hard. She might feel sorry for how Chi-Chi puts him through the wringer. It’d probably give her Celestia flashbacks.
Goku? Man, I can’t even imagine. Constantly throwing himself into fights, purposefully letting enemies get the better of him just so he can get a bit of a challenge, messing up plans and clearing out pantries with every visit. She’d be frustrated with his very existence and probably want to strangle him for letting enemies escape. She’d tolerate him because she’d HAVE to, but she wouldn’t like it. A good bit of her time around him would probably be spent wondering what Chi-Chi sees in the idiot.
Tien is there, too.
I’m not sure how far she could get, but I’m pretty wary of launching her up to Saiyan levels of fuckery. She’d probably be good at coming up with new ways of utilizing ki, though, and her repertoire would expand very quickly.
For example, since Sunset is a Unicorn around Twilight’s level, there’s a very good chance that she knew how to teleport. That could carry over to the DB world. I don’t think it’d be around the levels of hax that, say, Instant Transmission would be, but she’d probably be able to teleport a decent ways away. Good for getting the drop on unsuspecting enemies, at least. And not in the same kind of manner that other fighters sorta use their ki to flash step, either.
As far as raw output goes, magic being the equivalent to ki would let her shine in this regards. Magic-marked Unicorns usually have an edge when it comes to stuff like that anyway. Twilight, Sunset, Starlight, etc. So, dumping ALL of her energy into a blast might come close to Final Flash levels of pants-shittery, even though it’d take literally everything she had to do it. I’d definitely say she should black out after something like that, though. Actually, if there’s one thing that I’d probably compare to a Saiyan, it’d be ki output.
As far as control, of course she’d be able to use telekinesis. It’d actually probably help her find interesting angles to attack from. Such as storing ki in balls to fly them around and then expelling them in beams aimed in a certain direction. Like imagine getting hit with two or three mini-Masenkos from different directions at the same time. I think that’d be kinda cool. Like ki versions of funnels from Gundam.
I like the idea of using Daydream from a visual standpoint, even though it’s not really something that SHOULD come about without the inclusion of Friendship Magic and the influence of the Elements of Harmony. The energy from her forehead and her back just makes for a really cool and unique look.
ULTIMATELY, I think that Sunset’s strength would lie in her usage of ki instead of anything more physical, and she’d probably realize that. She’d train her body, of course, but I highly doubt she’d get super buff and roided out like a lot of the DBZ crew. She’d probably be way more interested in ki manipulation considering it’s kinda like magic, and she could just use barriers to shield herself from most kinds of attacks anyway. And yeah, she’d probably understand why Celestia would withhold information about the mirror and beyond if it connected to a world like this.
I DON’T KNOW.
Though it’s also probably likely that never going to Name means Freeza kills all the Namekians and doesn’t get his wish because he killed Guru and doesn’t know the password.
Actually, that’s true. Hmmmm.
OKAY. SO. Frieza kills the Namekians, doesn’t get his wish, and he’s suitably pissed about it. Vegeta arrives on Namek looking for the Dragon Balls and runs into a livid Frieza and gets his shit pushed in.
Frieza beats information out of Vegeta and finds out that he just came from Earth and they have a Namekian there too, complete with a set of Dragon Balls all their own. He blasts Vegeta, leaves him for dead and with a new goal, he sets course for the backwater planet full of worthless maggots.
Vegeta survives the blast due to Saiyan fuckery and, pissed about getting bitchslapped by Frieza once again, sends a message to Raditz’s scouter saying that Frieza is on his way to Earth. He doesn’t really care about the planet, he just wants to make sure the Dragon Balls are still there and also fuck up Frieza’s plans as much as possible.
MEANWHILE ON EARTH, Sunset is staying with Bulma and trying to get the hang of actual combat (since apparently it’s a big deal in this universe). Having excellent ki is certainly helping, but it’s going to take some real time since she’s still getting used to walking on two legs. She probably cheats a lot by hovering and flying until Bulma tells her to knock it off because it’s just creepy watching someone floating around all the time. Sunset mentions Puar and Bulma waves it off that that’s different.
Bulma has been trying to get some more readings out of Sunset’s statue, but hasn’t had any luck. Sunset doesn’t really know much either, and says that the portal’s probably closed for another “thirty moons”, however long that is. Considering that there doesn’t really seem to be a moon on this planet (I WONDER WHY), that might just be a problem. Not that Sunset seems to mind. She doesn’t like talking about why she came through in the first place, but that doesn’t stop her from telling Bulma about Equestria in general, though.
They don’t get far into the conversation before Raditz’s discarded scouter starts going nuts on Bulma’s messy workdesk. They listen to Vegeta’s message and Sunset waves it off. Why should they listen to the bad guy who’s probably just messing with them after getting his butt kicked, after all? Bulma thinks it’s better to be safe than sorry, though, and contacts Goku and the Z-Fighters to meet on Kami’s Lookout.
Once there, Kami spills the beans about Namek and the Namekians. He tries to see if he can contact Guru or anyone on the planet, but after getting absolutely nothing, he goes through a bit of a silent panic. Vegeta wasn’t lying. Frieza is probably on his way and his power makes all of the Z-Warriors combined look like little babies. The only one who isn’t scared out of their mind is Goku, of course, who thinks that if someone is THAT strong, he definitely wants to fight them.
Sunset is suddenly starting to regret the whole “falling out with Princess Celestia and running away” thing.
About Sunset in DBZ. I think the question was more, if she was a DBZ Character, not if the human world connected to MLP was DBZ. Tho I have some stuff to say regardless. If she went down the path of combat and at the time she got in the DBZ world and tried magic, Ki control came to her instead and so had a basis in it from the get go. How strong do you think she would become if she helped Goku against Vegeta and Nappa and the rest of the story is somewhat the same but with Sunset as a fighter?
Also if she has her own transformation like turning into a semi pony form like when they pony up or the second one like against Sci-Twi, how good do you think she would fair with the rest?
If Sunset was just born in the DBZ world, then she’s just born in the DBZ world and she has as much of a chance of becoming powerful as any other human in the show does.
In order for Sunset to become what you see in the show, she needs to be a Unicorn in Canterlot with magical potential enough to become Celestia’s pupil and get that to grow. If you take away magic and horses she’s a girl with drive and brains, and in a non-pony world she’d probably just end up being a regular, successful person. The max would probably be around Krillin or Tien if she decided to actually get into fighting.
Okay the second part. If Sunset ended up in the DBZ world and found that her magical ability translated into ki reserves and control? Then welp.
Since Sunset was Celestia’s pupil, we can assume that she was probably trying to groom her to become the bearer of the Element of Magic. If this is the case, then it’s not a huge leap to place her on Twilight’s level, at least around before Twi became an Alicorn. So not like, Magical WMD status, but probably packing some serious fucking kick.
It’d be interesting to see her in the fight with Nappa and Vegeta. Since she’s in a new body, she’d probably have a hard time actually fighting with her fists, but there’s a good chance that she could sit back and toss beams around like fucking nothing. The strategy for Z-Fighters before Goku shows up might be along the lines of keeping Nappa busy and moving him into position so Sunset can hammer him down. Senzu beans would help with this.
There’s a chance that when Goku shows up, there’s more people alive and way more fresh to deal with the two, if only because there’s someone in the back chucking lasers at Nappa and keeping Saibamen off of everyone else. The rest of the fight probably goes a LOT more smoothly. Nappa would probably still die because of Vegeta, and Vegeta would probably still get away because of Goku, but there’s a better chance that everyone lives.
The aftermath to this is that Piccolo has a chance to survive, which means that nobody has to go to Namek, which means that Goku doesn’t go Super Saiyan and Frieza has the potential to get his wish for immortality without anyone stopping him.
Which kinda sucks.
I’m not sure how TRANSFORMATION would work with Sunset, since all of those in the movies just amount to PLOT BEAMS that do whatever they need to do and end up mainly being weaponized friendship, but at least Daydream Shimmer would be a cool look.
gamerb3ar replied to your post: How powerful do you think Sunset Shimmer would be…
Well, straight-up magic IS a thing in the Dragon Ball universe, so she could potentially pick up some interesting new abilities.
I GUESS that Roshi could introduce her to Baba, but Baba’s never really seemed like the kind of person who would have the patience to teach magic. Though learning that Sunset is a Unicorn would probably interest her, if only to inquire about the differences between magic on Earth and in Equestria.
Maybe Kami? While Popo is training the Z-Fighters, Kami could do something? I don’t know.

Honestly, outside of Equestria, Sunset is just a girl with some empathy and telepathy powers sometimes. She’d probably get fucking hardcore wasted since she doesn’t have ki training and otherwise she’d just have the body of a teenage girl. If she had access to her Unicorn magic she MIGHT last a little bit? DBZ regularly throws out guys who are on the level of PLANET BUSTERS, and no one in Equestria is really geared towards fighting.
Though I mean she CAN be determined, so she might train? Maybe? She’d need the right kind of motivation. Actually, hmm.
Okay, it’d all boil down to WHEN Sunset ends up in the DB universe. Anything later than the Frieza Saga and she’s just a bystander. Let’s start close to the beginning of the Saiyan Saga. Maybe a little before.
Bulma finds a weird statue with strange readings and has it taken back to Capsule Corp to study. A few nights later, Sunset stumbles out and finds Bulma. One thing leads to another and Bulma wants Sunset to stick around so she can run some tests. Sunset doesn’t mind and she doesn’t seem like she wants to go back through anyway.
In fact, Sunset seems a kinda bitter about what happened on the other side and it takes Bulma a good bit of nagging before she finally gets Sunset to open up and say that she comes from a land of magical talking ponies. Sunset’s caught off guard when Bulma takes the whole thing in stride by saying she’s “seen some pretty crazy stuff.”
Sunset becomes interested in technology, Bulma’s impressed with Sunset’s drive and ability to pick stuff up quickly, and she ends up as Bulma’s assistant for the time being. Sunset isn’t exactly a genius on the level of Bulma and she ends up being mainly a gofer for grabbing tools for her, but the setup lets her get more acclimated to the world and it keeps her mind off of home.
Obviously the Saiyan Saga has to start sometime, so Bulma heads out to Master Roshi’s and Sunset tags along. She meets the crew and everyone has different levels of interest in where she comes from, with Goku just asks if there’s any strong fighters in Equestria and Sunset saying that it doesn’t really work like that there. Goku kinda just waves the place off after that.
Raditz shows up, that shit goes down about the same. Sunset ends up finding out about the Dragon Balls and ends up thinking that maybe she could use them to get back at Celestia, but that idea gets thrown out the window after Goku dies and Piccolo takes Gohan.
It’s around this time that she learns about ki. “Wait, so it’s kind of like magic?” And those are the secret words. It’d probably be a tossup whether she decides to stay with Bulma or try to find out if she can actually tap into ki. I’m not sure if she’d go with Krillin somehow to Kami’s or stay with Roshi? Though I mean, Roshi’s kinda… weird, and Bulma has probably already told her some things.
Considering that Fighting is Magic in DBZ, Sunset MIGHT end up taking to it. If she doesn’t, she’d end up with Bulma and possibly learn technology. She’d probably never get the chance to actually make a wish with the Dragon Balls considering everything that goes on, but if she did, it’d probably be at a period of time after she mellows out and no longer holds a grudge against Celestia, so she might try wishing for her Equestrian magic? I wonder if that would work.
So I had my very first waifu dream.
I was making out with Sunset.
But then I looked up at her face and it was Nicolas Cage.
I don’t know what this means.

Every time Android 21 speaks she sounds like an insane yandere about to have an earth-shattering orgasm.
And I love it.
sorry for no art today but uh

I like Exalted’s setting a lot. Not really a fan of the system or all the stuff they kept adding to it, but overall it’s fun and I was part of a long-running campaign that went on to completion and lasted a few years.
I still miss it.
Her name is Maka. She’s a Solar Exalted of the Zenith Caste, a delicious brown bombshell and the hero of my friend EF’s Exalted Quest.

It’s ongoing.
Here’s the old session archives when it was on 4chan: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive.html?tags=Solar%20Quest
And here’s where it is now: https://fiction.live/stories/Exalted-Quest/rGuuvtEgXBX7uxKJr/home

Tried to go for a Mr. Satan (with mixed results) but I can see DRAAAAAAAAVEN too.
