You know, honest question as you're hyped for SRW T as much as I am, but what are your feelings by chance on the DS titles? Namely W, K, and L, as outside of the Alpha's and OG's that's what I'm the most familiar with, and would be interested to learn where you sit with them, if you played them!
W is my favorite DS title, even if it is a little on the easy side. Great lineup, and it was really surprising to see GOLION out of all things. I remember the rumors when it was announced. People were speculating that the only reason they put the source material for fucking Voltron in was because they were going to try a Western release. Spoilers: it didn’t happen. Also good animation for a handheld game and an absolutely AMAZING original. Seriously, the Ardygun family is super fucking cool and I can’t wait to see them and the Valzacard in OG.
K isn’t all that bad, MIST REX memes aside. Good series list. Seeing Zoids was strange but hey, why not? Legend of Daiku Maryu Gaiking is great and deserves more love, and Kotetsushin Jeeg still gets me rock fucking hard. As far as the originals go, Mist Rex is an asshole and I never really liked him that much, and I absolutely didn’t care at all about the love triangle thing. The final forms of the original are a little weird looking, but Regret Buster is FUCKING COOL:
L? Ehhhh. I honestly could never get into it. Series list is fine with some pretty crazy picks. Linebarrels was neat to see, and so was Iczer 1. Though I wasn’t a fan of the original. Rushbird is pretty bland and the main guy was, too. Rushbird didn’t even really have an upgrade, just a final combination attack and compared to Valzacard and Solvrias Rex, it’s just. Bleeehhhhh.
Overall they’re fine enough! K in particular got me through some rough days working at a shitty call center job and W still holds a very special place in my heart.
To this day i still can’t confirm if Banpresto and Namco apologuized to Blizzard for the stolen Warcraft music in these.

I kind of figured they were going to, considering the last few games were also in English, but it’s nice to get confirmation.
Those series debuts were absolute megatons, loving the this trend of including spaceship based series and seeing the long requested Magic Knight Rayearth finally get in was amazing.
The fact that Rayearth is in is fucking crazy. It was one of those series where everyone had just given up on it ever getting into something like SRW since CLAMP pretty much said so.
ALL of the newcomers are just that; they’re megatons. Expelled From Paradise is kinda surprising, then fucking Cowboy Bebop shows up making me like “okay this must be the weird ship-only inclusion this time” but then ARCADIA OF MY YOUTH with motherfucking CAPTAIN HARLOCK drops and makes me freak the fuck out.
THEN Rayearth drops. This one isn’t fucking around.
