Oh, that makes sense then. From the time period, it seems like it came out in response to 4e. Probably sparked by the drastic change in style? I know there was a big backlash to it, even though I honestly kinda liked the game. More games is never really a bad thing, though.
That’s cool. I never got to play 3.5e all THAT much but the one time I did I kinda found it a bit cumbersome. It was forever ago, so I don’t remember the specifics, but I definitely remember having trouble making the character. This was like, right out of high school for me, though, so I could’ve just been bad.
Less restriction is always a good thing, I think. Giving players more to work with.
