Hey, have you heard the Shinto myth about Amaterasu and the Cave? Or, as I like to call it, that time Amaterasu went of to sulk, and the other gods only got her back by having another goddess do a striptease? I am dead serious, google it.
The goddess of the dawn coaxes out the sun. It’s great. Apparently in some tellings of the story, the thrown pony landed on a lady attendant that Amaterasu was romantically involved with and killed her, leading her to lock herself in the cave out of grief.
